The funniest ‘Afro Hip Hop’ group out of East Africa. The Boomba Clan, is comprised of five extremely Talented Artistes all of whom attended the same high school. The five came together in 2001 and formed B.O.O.M.B.A. Clan, an acronym of the initials Best Of Our Music Bestowed All over. Through the years the group has cultivated massive support from fans and entrepreneurs in the corporate world for their acclaimed comical style of music presentation and performances.

In August 2002 the group released their debut single, ‘We’re Deadly’, that basically described their musical prowess. Its response was massive and won them an Award for the Best Group High Schools Category in the Second Annual Chaguo La Teeniez Awards 2003 held in Nairobi, Kenya.

On completion of High School they released yet another hit single ‘Do Not Touch My Car’ in December 2004. The single was accompanied with a promotional Clip/ Music Video of the same.

The audiences were getting bigger and the group was enjoying every moment of their success. Radio and T.V play lists always featured their ‘Hits’. The group further recorded other singles such as, ‘Number 1’, ‘Terra Moss’, and towards the end of 2005 the group recorded their second hit single ‘Chonga Viazi’, which was accompanied by a Music Video. The song describes the misfortunes that come about when one fails to pay up their hotel bill after having an expensive meal.

The song ‘Chonga Viazi’ enjoyed massive airplay on local Radio and TV stations in Kenya. The dividends of their abundant Talent won Boomba Clan another Award, ‘Best Music Video Award’ at the annual Chaguo la Teeniez Awards in April 2006.

They were also Nominated for the Best Group and Best Video at the annual Kisima Awards held in Nairobi in the same year.

As a result of their musical achievements the group managed to set up their own production label, ‘Boomba Entertainment’ that enabled them to further their musical pursuits.

In September 2006, they released yet another successful single, ‘African Timer’. This single focuses on sensitizing people about time and was accompanied by a Video Clip.

They were nominated for and later performed at the MTV Alert Concert, Co-sponsored by Motorola, on the 11th of December 2006.

So what are the Group’s Musical aspirations; their main goal is to build upon the success of their flourishing Musical career, venture into the competitive International Market that keeps eluding Kenyan Artistes, share their Musical talent with the rest of the world, have quality new ‘Hits’ out for the Market and expand their record label far and beyond the limits of their imagination.

Their first album titled ‘THE HOT ALBUM’ is due in the second quarter of 2007.

Singles off their album will include ‘Don’t Touch My Car’, ‘Chonga Viazi’, ‘African Timer’, ‘Emergency’, ‘Meet My Parents’, ’Does Yo Mother Know’, ‘Number 1’, ‘Kuku Dance’, ‘Tera Moss’, and ‘We're Deadly’.

So fans and admirers are in for a real feast of Music, there’s nothing stopping, the Boomba Clan, so they say,”If the Music makes you move, move on”, and that’s what this Great Talent of Five are doing right NOW!!!
