Under sister companies, Capital Q Productions and AQ Communications Inc., Big Q™ Entertainment has successfully established an FM Radio Station for Supkem as well as being consulted, then training and managing the Radio Dept. of the 105.7 Citizen FM in Kenya amongst many other Broadcasting clients including the Hindustani service for the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation as well as being involved in their Metro FM service. Big Q™ Entertainment has been doing the Club Circuits for decades as pioneers of Soul, R & B, Hip Hop and Reggae on Radio, Clubs and Mobile Discos. The company through its sister franchise 'Fine' Disco has, over the years, provided Disco and Cabaret Entertainment for Hotels, Restaurants, Clubs and Beach Resorts along the coastal strip of Kenya in Mombasa and Malindi. Big Q™ set up a 'Battle of the Bands' held at the Bomas of Kenya in 1987 as a prelude to selecting the top bands and solo performing artistes to appear in the IV All Africa Games Torch Relay Concert, a musical extravaganza featuring superstars Franco, Zaiko Langa Langa, Anna Mwale and of course Jermaine Jackson of the famous Jackson Brothers and a host of other Kenya Talent and celebrities. The Relay Concert was a prelude to the 1987 IV All Africa Games in held at the Moi International Stadium, Kasarani, Nairobi In 1988 Big Q™ Entertainment went on a countrywide tour with a host of performing Artistes and Fashion icons in search of The Kenya National Dress. This was to mark the 10 th Anniversary Celebrations of the Nyayo Era. On the Club Management Circuit Big Q™ Entertainment has managed some of Nairobi 's Finest Night Clubs such as Club 1900, The Boomerang Club and Studio 54 in the Revolving Tower at the K.I.C.C. In the mid 80s they acquired the Pasha Club, renovating and renaming it The Beat House. In more recent years AQ Communications Inc, an affiliate of Big Q™ in partnership with Paradise Hotels International (The Safari Park Hotel & Casino) in managing, equipping, refurbishing and renaming Club Sting to Chocolate City. Many a DJ and Radio Presenter has benefited from Big Q™ Entertainment expertise in Radio, T/V and Night Club DeeJaying and will always welcome fresh talent to share in the Art. Big Q™ Entertainment has also created a number of theme nights and festivals that no other entertainment groups or person can match, whether from Hip Hop America , Pop U.K & Europe, Drums in Africa or Bollywood Bhangra we have done it all. In Clubs, Restaurants, 5 Star Hotels, Resorts and On the Road, Big Q™ Entertainment has been in the forefront has creativity and organisation of events, shows and Beauty Pageants as well as launching brand names of reputable beauty products, clothing, motor vehicles and financial institutions. We have always made ourselves available for Charity Events at no cost. Big Q™ toured Kenya extensively and was the first entertainer to go on the road with a complete entertainment unit including a Fashion Show launching cosmetics and health & beauty products in the late 70s, which that moment and time, was unheard of. Our Artistes, Bands, Deejays and other talent have graced the Airwaves and performed at venues across the continent. The Big Q™ himself, a legend, changed the face of Radio in Kenya . A celebrity who is always ahead of the pack and a genius in the Art of Entertainment Creativity. He has been the inspiration for hundreds of entertainers, a subject of the media, as well as a people’s choice. He has been and seen it all either as an Emcee, Organiser, Invited Guest, Judge or Promoter. In a 1977 interview reported in the Drum Magazine it was said that the ‘Naivasha Musical Fiesta’ was an African ‘ Woodstock ’, full of non-stop music, drinks and fun. The event was also recorded in the Rolling Stones Magazine. Big Q was the compere at this Musical Extravaganza. The Big Q has just got longer. What next?
